Jane’s Walk 2023 – Day 3
Another happy evening and a good night, and we awake to more blue skies, although there is a light Easterly wind, which brings some relief.
We continue down the Peddars Way, very similar to yesterday, mainly a rather rutty track between hedges. We have no walkers with us, so make good progress and lunch in the village of Ringstead. We pass several large pig farms containing hundreds of breeding sows and their offspring. Also, a new crop to me with pale blue flowers which, at first glance at a distance, looked like lavender, but which is apparently Borage and used as an animal feed. Very pretty.
We finally get a quick view of the sea as we walk into Holme-next-the-Sea. We completed our walk by 3 pm, a record so far.
